Asian American dating scene?
Would an American-born Asian girl refuse to date an Asian guy just because he wasn’t born in the US?
I wasn’t born here FYI, but I came here as a baby and I’m as Americanized as any American-born Asian, but at the same time I’m proud that I was born overseas and have a strong cultural background. If that’s the reason someone would refuse to date me, then so be it.

No. I know plenty of asian american born girl who even dated guys overseas. I think it’s cute. Personally, as an asian girl myself, i would date asian guys. I just like my own people 🙂 but that doesn’t mean i will be willing to date everyone; it just depends on the guy.
If you’re a good person, then i don’t see the problem

I lived in West Coast and Hawaii for many years, and found many white women date asian american men. As i move toward the midwest (chicago) and east coast (new york city), i find majority white women dislike dating asian amercian men. Its really funny

We love each but he has explained to me how first generation asian americans view interracial dating & its not really their “cup of tea” to put it sweet. I dnt doubt his love for me but we plan to get married and I would love to have his parents blessings. He has always been real with me, but I’m still afraid. What do I do?

It’s always scary meeting your significant other’s parents no matter what the situation is. After all, these are the people you will probably be associating with for the rest of your life! I think if both parents see that you genuinely care for each other, then there should be nothing to be afraid of.

I heard that they are inter-racially dating and most asian are planning inter-marriages more than ever now.

Yes and it pisses me off.
I’m not racist or anything, but most white guys go to Eastern Asian countries to hit up with an Asian girl and marry her here. It sounds great but there are stories that the woman sometimes get beat up really badly. Most people that go to other countries to get married usually have a problem, therefore couldn’t get married in their own country.

No, geeze. At my college there are a million Japanese/Chinese exchange students and they’re all really good looking haha.
Who cares what other people think if you think you might have a chance with someone? It’s 2008, not 1965.
